The Embedded Vision Summit: In-Depth Workshops Complete It

EVSummit_West2014e

Take a look at the published technical program for the May 29 Embedded Vision Summit West, and I'm sure you'll agree that it's impressive in both its breadth and depth of embedded vision topics. However, those of you interested in even more of an embedded vision education are in luck; two multi-hour technical workshops are also being offered the prior day, May 28th.

The first, co-developed by Alliance member companies Analog Devices, Avnet Electronics and BDTI, is a revisit and update of a well-reviewed workshop offered both at the April 2013 and October 2013 events. Titled "Using the Avnet Embedded Vision Starter Kit", it takes place from 7:30AM-2:00PM, including complimentary breakfast and lunch. This hands-on workshop explores hardware and software for image processing and video analytics, featuring the Avnet Embedded Vision Starter Kit. This workshop is an excellent starting point for vision application developers interested in exploring a wide range of embedded vision applications.

The second, a new entrant, is offered by BDTI, the founder of the Embedded Vision Alliance. It's entitled "Implementing Embedded Vision and Computer Vision: An Introduction" and takes place from 9:00AM-3:00PM, including complimentary lunch. This technical training workshop provides an efficient launching pad for engineers and others seeking to incorporate vision into their next-generation products and applications. Attendees will get a practical introduction to key hardware and software topics including processors, sensors, tools and development techniques currently used for vision-based application and system design.

For more information on both workshops, including online registration facilities, please see the Embedded Vision Summit West workshops page.

Here you’ll find a wealth of practical technical insights and expert advice to help you bring AI and visual intelligence into your products without flying blind.
