EMBEDDED VISION SUMMIT SPECIAL EDITION

Dear Colleague,Embedded Vision Summit

The Embedded Vision Alliance's annual conference, the Embedded Vision Summit, is coming up fast: May 2-4 in Santa Clara, California. The Summit is the event for innovators who want to bring visual intelligence to their products, and we're devoting this issue of Embedded Vision Insights to cover the three full days of exciting speakers, presentations, and workshops on tap.

This year's Summit includes three tracks' worth of presentations, offering something for everyone in your quest to incorporate visual intelligence into products today. First, there are the always popular technical talks in the Technical Insights track, which are ideal for application, system and software developers seeking practical approaches that you can incorporate in your products.

The newly added Business Insights track is perfect for business executives, marketers, analysts, and investors seeking an understanding of the commercial computer vision landscape. It will help you discover the latest market and technology trends and hear how industry leaders are bringing value to a wide range of industries using computer vision.

Then there's the Enabling Technologies track, also new this year, which is great for product developers, engineers, and business leaders embracing the new world of visual intelligence, It helps you learn about the latest computer vision tools, processors and other technologies that you can use to develop practical, marketable, innovative products now.

And don't forget about the keynotes from Jeff Dean from Google on large-scale deep learning for building intelligent computer systems, from Larry Matthies of NASA/JPL on using vision to enable autonomous land, sea, and air vehicles, and from Jeff Bier of the Embedded Vision Alliance on the state of computer vision.

"But wait, there's more!" (Sorry, we couldn't resist–there's just too much cool stuff to talk about!)

Vision Tank

Of the hundreds of fascinating startups doing really cool things with vision, five of the best are competing in the Vision Tank–a new competition inspired by the "Shark Tank" reality show. Each company innovator will pitch their product to our expert panel of judges, who will provide expert advice and select the Most Innovative Vision-Based Product winner. You'll be voting, too, for the Audience Choice award.

The Technology Showcase is where top computer vision suppliers will reveal the latest developments in vision technologies. Watch demos. See and touch the latest technologies and products. And interact with the people developing these advances. The Showcase Theater takes the Enabling Technologies track to the show floor, where you can hear educational presentations on development tools, processors, and other technologies that enable practical, innovative products now.

And wrap up your Summit experience at the Tuesday evening reception. Take advantage of one more opportunity to talk with experts and see demos, as well as interact with your fellow product creators representing all types of industries, products, and applications in a relaxed and festive setting.

Register Button

The bottom line is simple: If you or your company are doing anything with computer vision–whether on an embedded system or in the cloud, whether using deep learning or conventional techniques–you simply cannot afford to miss this event. Time is running out and the conference is filling up, so register today!
