Infineon Technologies Demonstration of a Depth Sensor-equipped Smartphone

Martin Lass, Product Marketing Manager at Infineon Technologies, demonstrates the company's latest embedded vision technologies and products at the January 2016 Consumer Electronics Show. Specifically, Lass demonstrates a smartphone equipped with a time-of-flight depth sensor, developed in partnership with camera manufacturer PMD Technologies.

The 3D time-of-flight imager REAL3 from Infineon Technologies is highly optimized to meet the requirements of mobile consumer devices such as those in the Google Tango project, enabling applications such as environmental monitoring, 3D scanning, virtual- and augmented reality, and much more.
