On August 24, 2016 at 10AM PT (1PM ET), the primary Caffe developers from the U.C. Berkeley Vision and Learning Center will present a free one-hour webinar, "A Brief Introduction to Deep Learning for Vision and the Caffe Framework," organized by the Embedded Vision Alliance and Berkeley Design Technology, Inc. (BDTI).
This live webinar begins with an introduction to deep learning and its use for computer vision tasks. It then introduces convolutional neural networks and explains why they have recently emerged as a powerful technique for a wide range of vision tasks. Finally, the webinar introduces the popular Caffe open source framework for CNN development, training, and deployment and provides an overview of the resources Caffe offers to enable you to kick-start your own CNN project. A 15-minute question-and-answer session will follow the 40-minute presentation.
This webinar provides a small preview of the content that will be presented in the more in-depth and detailed full-day hands-on tutorial focused on CNNs for vision and the Caffe framework, which will be presented by the same speakers on September 22, 2016 in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
To register for this free webinar, please see the event page. As part of the registration process, we encourage you to submit questions in advance of the webinar for the presenters to answer during the event! For more information, please email [email protected].
