Jeremy Giddings, Director of Business Development at BDTI, demonstrates the company's latest embedded vision technologies and products at the May 2016 Embedded Vision Summit. In this video, Giddings demonstrates dense optical flow, a highly accurate means to detect and track motion, on a low-cost embedded processor, the Renesas RGZ, a dual ARM core chip. In implementing a demanding algorithm on a relatively low-cost, low-powered processor, BDTI adapted the algorithm significantly. This implementation demonstrates BDTI’s ability to customize algorithms to run effectively and efficiently using minimal processing resources.
