Pierre Paulin, Director of R&D for the Synopsys Embedded Vision Processor, demonstrates the company's latest embedded vision technologies and products at the May 2016 Embedded Vision Summit. Specifically, Paulin discusses the features of the EV5x processor family, which features an innovative dedicated convolution neural network (CNN) engine optimized for low power consumption and low area utilization. The CNN engine supports deep neural networks and is scalable and programmable. The live demo employs a face detection CNN graph that has been ported to the EV52 processor and runs on the Synopsys HAPS FPGA-based rapid prototyping system.

Here you’ll find a wealth of practical technical insights and expert advice to help you bring AI and visual intelligence into your products without flying blind.
