Francisco Socal, Technology Marketing Manager at Imagination Technologies, demonstrates the company's latest embedded vision technologies and products at the January 2018 Consumer Electronics Show. Specifically, Socal demonstrates the variable-precision capabilities of the company's PowerVR 2NX NNA (neural network accelerator) and associated toolset. The PowerVR 2NX, here shown implemented in a FPGA, runs the GoogLeNet Inception v1 classifier at 16-bit, 8-bit and 4-bit layer depths, with high accuracy in all cases.
