Perceive Demonstration of Image Classification and Pose Detection using Ergo AI Processors

David McIntyre, Vice President of Marketing for Perceive, demonstrates the company’s latest edge AI and vision technologies and products at the March 2023 Edge AI and Vision Innovation Forum. Specifically, McIntyre demonstrates the unique combination of capability and power-efficiency delivered by the Perceive Ergo and Ergo 2 AI processors.

McIntyre shows the Ergo chip running ResNet-50 for image classification, at 30 fps using approximately 10 mW of compute power, and the Ergo 2 processor running pose detection, using a combination of two neural networks running concurrently and drawing approximately 100 mW of compute power. The Ergo 2 processor is Perceive’s newest product, designed to handle large neural networks including transformer networks within tight power constraints, and making it possible to integrate increasingly sophisticated AI-based features into a variety of edge devices for consumer and enterprise applications.

Here you’ll find a wealth of practical technical insights and expert advice to help you bring AI and visual intelligence into your products without flying blind.
