The Summit is book-ended by hands-on workshops occurring on May 11th and May 13th. This technical, educational forum is designed for product creators, innovators and business leaders interested in incorporating computer vision into applications including agricultural and construction equipment, augmented reality technology, automotive safety, consumer electronics and gaming, digital signage and retail market research, drone devices, medical imaging, mobile devices, robotics, smart home products, and smart toys. In addition to tracks on embedded vision applications, technologies, and techniques, this year’s Summit adds a third track on market trends and business opportunities. Keynote speakers include Mike Aldred of Dyson, Ltd. and Ren Wu of the Baidu Institute of Deep Learning. Mike will share his experience developing Dyson’s innovative, vision-enabled robotic vacuum cleaner. Dr. Wu will speak on enabling visual intelligence through deep learning, and state-of-the-art image recognition tasks including visual search in the data center and on mobile devices. Numerous exhibits will provide working examples of embedded vision products and technology.
