Embedded Vision Innovations at MD&M West

vc_mipi_2000px

January 31, 2019 – Vision Components will showcase its brand-new MIPI camera modules at the Medical Design & Manufacturing West exhibition. The ultra-compact boards are manufactured at highly competitive costs. They are available with a range of global shutter sensors and rolling shutter sensors with resolutions up to 8.4 MP; other models with higher resolutions are upcoming. The MIPI cameras can currently be connected to more than 20 CPU boards from different manufacturers that support this standard. This includes all Raspberry Pi boards, all 96Boards, NVIDIA TX1 and TX2, and additional boards with i.MX6 / i.MX8. The modules contain mounting holes and precision fittings. They are robust and designed for optimal heat dissipation and minimal noise.

The MD&M showcase will furthermore highlight embedded vision solutions for Data Matrix code reading: Vision Components offers real-time, network-capable intelligent cameras as well as a specialized OCR software library for OEMs who want to implement high-performance 2D code recognition systems for automated laboratory applications, surgical tool handling, and medication package identification. Machine vision OEMs are invited to discuss their applications with the exhibition team.
