Erik Kokalj, Director of Applications Engineering at Luxonis, demonstrates the company’s latest edge AI and vision technologies and products at the 2022 Embedded Vision Summit. Specifically, Kokalj demonstrates specialized camera technology from Luxonis, which melds on-device artificial intelligence and computer vision with stereo depth.
Kokalj shows a live example of object detection that not only places bounding boxes around objects within the camera’s view, but also associates each object within 3D space. Juxtaposed with the live camera feed is a specialized depth feed that displays red shift/blue shift data for the captured objects, information that can be used to improve the efficacy of application such as object picking or machine guarding.
