Upcoming Webinar Explores Ultra-high Speed Camera Interfaces

On May 28, 2025 at 10:00 am CET and 10:00 am PT (1:00 pm ET), Alliance Member company FRAMOS will deliver two sessions of the free webinar “Ultra-high Speed Image Sensors with SLVS-EC.” From the event page:

High-resolution image sensors with high frame rates require a powerful interface for data transmission. That’s why Sony launched the SLVS-EC camera interface a few years ago as an alternative to MIPI D-PHY, which can handle high-end image sensors. In our webinar, Ultra-High Speed Image Sensors with SLVS-EC, we’ll show you everything you need to know about the SLVS-EC interface.

The camera interface SLVS-EC is Sony’s self-developed interface and can transfer enormous amounts of data. It is the first choice for all high-end image sensors from Sony, such as the ultra-high-resolution IMX811 with 247 megapixels or the upcoming IMX925, which will be capable of capturing up to 394 images per second. You will learn how to manage such image sensors’ very high data rates, enable long-distance transmission, and implement error correction.

  • SLVS-EC RX IP core for AMD/Xilinx boards: To enable convenient use of the SLVS-EC interface and Sony’s high-end image sensors, and to avoid project risks, we are introducing the SLVS-EC RX IP Core for AMD/Xilinx boards with FPGA, as well as reference design kits to help you get to know the camera interface and use it successfully.
  • High data transfer rates, error correction, and project risk minimization with SLVS-EC: You will learn how this solution enables rapid development, reduces technical risk, and ensures fast, error-corrected transmission in demanding embedded image processing applications.

You should attend if you are an embedded engineer, a developer of image processing systems, part of a team working on image processing products, or a hardware developer involved in the transmission of high-speed sensor data and FPGA integration.

Discover how you can achieve fast and reliable image data transfer with the SLVS-EC RX IP core and reference design kit from FRAMOS – developed to support Sony’s SLVS-EC camera interface for advanced embedded image processing systems.
