Free Webinar on Building Trustworthy Physical AI at the Edge

On September 2, 2026 at 9 am PT (noon ET), Muneyb Minhazuddin, Customer Growth Officer at Ambarella and Pietro Antonio Cicalese, Senior Technical Marketing Engineer at Ambarella, will present the free hour webinar “See, Think, Act, Learn: Building Trustworthy Physical AI at the Edge,” organized by the Edge AI and Vision Alliance. Here’s the description, from the event registration page:

Physical AI now spans robotics, self-driving vehicles, drones, mobile robots, smart cameras, and industrial systems that sense and respond in real time. Success depends on a four-stage closed loop: perception, reasoning, action, and learning. In this session, Ambarella’s Muneyb Minhazuddin and Pietro Antonio Cicalese examine what it takes to run that loop at the edge.

Today, this loop is split: the edge captures the scene while the cloud performs heavy reasoning. But for systems acting in the physical world, the cloud is too slow, networks are not always available, and power is limited. The better approach is to run the full loop on the device.

This creates two challenges. First is concurrency: a perception network, a vision-language model, and a hard real-time control path must run simultaneously while sharing memory bandwidth and thermal budget. If the language model blocks the real-time path, even a correct decision can arrive too late. Second is real-world perception. Everything above the sensor depends on the image it delivers; in HDR, fast motion, or low light, no model can recover detail that was never captured.

A trustworthy system must solve both problems. Engineers trust the loop when latency holds to a guaranteed worst case, performance degrades predictably, and the system depends on nothing outside the device.

Muneyb and Pietro will show how perception, reasoning, action, and learning can be consolidated onto a single edge processor, where the tradeoffs fall, and how these challenges are addressed in vehicles and cameras. Attendees will leave with a framework for deciding what must run on the device and what that demands of the silicon.

Muneyb Minhazuddin is Customer Growth Officer at Ambarella. He previously held senior roles at Intel, VMware, and Avaya, and holds 19 patents.

Pietro Antonio Cicalese is a Senior Technical Marketing Engineer at Ambarella, supporting edge AI developer enablement. He previously served as a Senior Algorithms Engineer with experience in computer vision and medical AI.
