Hailo Demonstration of Leveraging High Processor Throughput to Improve Object Detection on the Edge

Yaniv Sulkes, Vice President of Product Marketing and Automotive at Hailo, demonstrates the company’s latest edge AI and vision technologies and products at the 2021 Embedded Vision Summit. Specifically, Sulkes demonstrates how to leverage the high throughput of the Hailo-8 AI processor in order to improve large-scale object detection on the edge.

The high throughput delivered by the Hailo-8 AI processor can be leveraged not only to process multiple cameras at the same time, but also to improve detection accuracy in high resolution video. Tiling is a dedicated application that allows developers to break down high-resolution images into multiple input streams, thus making small and faraway objects detectable even in very busy and dynamic environments. Hailo’s out-of-the-box TAPPAS applications are a great way to hit the ground running, making development and deployment of models easier and accelerating time-to-market.

Here you’ll find a wealth of practical technical insights and expert advice to help you bring AI and visual intelligence into your products without flying blind.
