Drew Emery, Technical Sales Engineer at AMD, demonstrates the company’s latest edge AI and vision technologies and products at the 2022 Embedded Vision Summit. Specifically, Emery demonstrates one of the applications included with the Kria KR260 Robotics Starter Kit.
The application implements an industrial camera design using a Sony IMX SLVS-EC sensor and the widely used GigE Vision protocol. GigE Vision enables the user to configure the camera over the network and stream video data, in this application at up to 10 Gbit/s speed. Streaming is handled fully in hardware to obtain the maximum data rate and to free the CPU of any additional image processing tasks.
