New adapter board simplifies integration of IQL’s Sony STARVIS IMX462 camera module with Toradex carrier boards, including the Mallow carrier board for NXP i.MX 95-based development
SANTA CLARA, Calif. — [5/12/26] — Image Quality Labs, Inc. today announced the Matterhorn Sony IMX462 Camera Adapter Board, a new adapter solution designed to help developers more quickly evaluate and integrate IQL’s Sony Semiconductor Solutions IMX462 camera module on Toradex Verdin embedded computing platforms, including configurations using the Toradex Mallow carrier board and NXP Semiconductors’ i.MX 95 processor platform.
The Matterhorn adapter is being demonstrated at the 2026 Embedded Vision Summit at the Image Quality Labs Booth #819.
The new adapter board provides a clean camera interface path for embedded vision teams evaluating or building around Toradex Verdin-based systems. Paired with IQL’s Sony STARVIS IMX462 2MP fixed-focus camera module, the adapter is well suited for applications requiring excellent low-light imaging performance, compact camera integration and production-ready image quality support.
The Matterhorn adapter supports development with the Toradex Verdin Computer on Module family, including Verdin iMX95, Verdin iMX8M Plus, Verdin AM62P, Verdin iMX8M Mini and Verdin AM62 modules. Supported Verdin carrier boards include the Mallow Carrier Board, Yavia Board and Dahlia Carrier Board with HDMI Adapter. IQL also provides driver support to help accelerate camera bring-up and integration.
