Au-Zone Technologies Expands EdgeFirst Studio Access to Alliance Members

Proven MLOps Platform for Spatial Perception at the Edge Now Available

CALGARY, AB – November 19, 2025 – Au-Zone Technologies today expands general access to EdgeFirst Studio™, the enterprise MLOps platform purpose-built for Spatial Perception at the Edge for machines and robotic systems operating in dynamic and uncertain environments. After six months of successful deployments with design partners, the platform is now available to Edge AI and Vision Alliance members through this program. EdgeFirst Studio enables engineering teams to transform raw sensor data into production-ready
edge AI models capable of reliable operation where traditional vision systems fail, including dust, low light, adverse weather, and unpredictable terrain. Teams can import datasets, train custom AI models with 2D vision, 3D depth, and 4D radar-vision fusion capabilities, and deploy directly to edge hardware, with early adopters reporting 20-50x improvements in development timelines.

Purpose-Built for Edge Perception

Unlike horizontal MLOps platforms designed for cloud applications, EdgeFirst Studio addresses the unique demands of spatial perception at the edge:

  • 2D and 3D Auto-Labelling: Automated annotation reduces custom dataset labelling effort by up to 9x, accelerating the most time-intensive phase of perception AI development
  • Flexible Model Training: Train, validate, and analyze performance across custom, public, and proprietary models with comprehensive metrics and visualization tools
  • Direct Hardware Deployment: Deploy trained models directly to real-world hardware platforms for detailed analysis, field trials, and production operation, eliminating the integration gap between development and deployment

After working with design partners over the past six months, we’ve validated that EdgeFirst Studio fundamentally changes the economics and timelines for deploying spatial perception in dynamic and uncertain environments. Generic MLOps platforms weren’t designed for edge AI realities – sensor fusion complexity, on-target validation, power constraints, and offline operation. We’ve spent several years solving these challenges, and we’re now ready to expand access.

Proven Results

“EdgeFirst Studio greatly reduced our dataset audit efforts, and we have a very stable detection
model in a few weeks,” said Robin de Vries, Product Lead at The Ocean Cleanup.

The platform is currently being used for the development of spatial perception solutions used in
applications including construction equipment operator assist, precision agriculture, forklift collision
avoidance, and robot navigation in GPS-denied environments.
