Understanding advanced HDR technologies for reliable vision in dynamic real-world conditions
Modern vision systems increasingly operate in challenging lighting conditions — from bright backlight and tunnel exits to night scenes with moving objects. While HDR imaging improves visibility, conventional HDR methods may also introduce motion artifacts and image inconsistencies.
In this live webinar and expert discussion, RESTAR FRAMOS and Sony introduce Sony’s new IMX908 sensor, the first image sensor featuring STARVIS 3 technology , and explain how different HDR approaches such as Clear HDR, Clear HDR3, Hybrid HDR3, and DOL HDR behave in real systems.
Together with our imaging experts, we will discuss how HDR technologies affect motion handling, AI-based recognition reliability, low-light imaging, and camera system design.

Dr. Flavien Hirigoyen is a Technical Imaging Expert at RESTAR FRAMOS specialized in Optics and Sensors topics. He holds a PhD in Optics for Pixel Technology Modeling. He has more than 20 years experience on CMOS Image Sensors and Cameras working for different companies through various positions from Modeling and Technology expert to Technical Manager and Project Manager. He was involved on pixels development, direct and indirect Time-Of-Flight development, event-based image sensors, custom cameras development. He is author of 12 peer-reviewed publications and 11 patents.
